Random Observations

It’s been one of those nights.  Simply put my mind won’t shut off.  I basically slept for a couple, maybe three, hours.

Here’s what was running through my head.  Weird and completely random stuff like:  I wonder if it is possible to bring back my ill fated cigar smoking day of the week.  You may remember this.

  • Maduro Monday
  • Torpedo Tuesday
  • Wavell Wednesday
  • Toro Thursday
  • Full-Bodied Friday
  • Sumatra-Saturday
  • Shaggy Sunday

While it’s fun to attempt, the Wavell is a bit problematic, as there a but a handful of manufacturers that produce a Wavell.   Thinking back, I had to dig a bit deeper into this Wavell.  According to my research, which basically involved Google, the Wavell (a 5 x 50 Robusto) was named after British Field Marshal Archibald Percival Wavell, 1st Earl Wavell and really the only manufacturers I can find, that produce a Wavell, is La Gloria Cubana and Sosa Cigars.

Then this brilliant idea! Would it be better to do a brand theme smoking day of the week…

  • My Fathers Monday
  • Two-Six-Twosday (see what I did there)

  • Uh Wednesday, what to smoke on Wednesday?  Well that puts the end to this brilliant idea. I am 99 4/100% sure that this idea was born as a direct result of lack of REM’s Sleep.!  But then again I prefer the boutiques brands and among my favorite boutique brands that are those that are part of the House of the Emilio family. So that puts the end to this idea.

So, here’s how I end, this smoke what you want when you want.  But do it in company of others who share your enthusiasm and who may open your eyes to new manufacturer and blends.

    Until next time, #KeepATightAsh.
