The price point that divides wine buyers: $17

There’s a bit of fuss going on in Canada regarding their beer, wine, and liquor — the stuff of life.  And it’s there that a writer discovers the price point where Canadians draw the line, which is $17, an unusual number to say the least, as most lines are made up of even numbers or end in 5.  Great wine recommendations in the article too, which states:

There has always been a line dividing the wine market in two. It’s the dollar figure between affordable and expensive, or in the minds of some, between sensible and stupid. To speak of a single line is an abstraction, of course, because it varies from person to person, and it has risen over time. But if you had to guess at an average number, where would you draw the line today?
